BIOQUANT Feature: iROI Cursor

With the iROI Cursor tool, you can create an Irregular Region of Interest a set micron distance from a structure, such as the growth plate or cortical wall. This is useful to define the region of interest used to measure the Tissue Volume a set distance from the cortical walls, cut edges, and growth plates.

			Guided Tissue Area Tracing BIOQUANT provides a tool to help you trace the tissue area accurately. An adjustable circle appears around the drawing tool. By adjusting the radius of the circle in microns, it’s simple to draw the tissue area an exact distance away from cortical walls, cut edges, and growth plates.

Features

Define the Tissue Volume at low power or on a montage that has been shrunk to fit within a single field of view.
Define the initial micron distance from the cut edges/cortical walls.
Click around the growth plate to define the irregular ROI.
When you reach the cortical wall, use the up and down arrows on the keyboard to redefine the micron distance.
Continue to click around the cortical wall.
Repeat until the Tissue Volume is defined.
The Tissue Volume can be redrawn at high power. All high power measurements are then made within the Tissue Volume.
