BIOQUANT Feature: Auto Width

The Auto Width tool is designed to provide unbiased direct automatic width measurements between surfaces. The Auto Width tool can be used to generate widths between two surfaces, or between consecutive surfaces, such as with cortex layers and rentinal layers.

A SYNOPSIS OF THE WIDTH PROCEDURE
1. The user clicks along the outer surface to trace it.
2. The user clicks along the inner surface trace it. The width lines are generated.
3. If the user is satisfied, the user clicks the Save All Data to save all of the widths to the Width array.
4. The user clicks along the outer surface of the next, consecutive layer. The width lines are generated.
5. If the user is satisfied, the user clicks the Save All Data to save all of the widths to the Width array.
6. Continue for all desired widths in this field of view.
7. Move to the next, overlapping field of view. Click Redraw to bring up the first field's tracings. Continue the protocol for the new field of view.
